Italian goddess Gina Lollobrigida stars as Alina, a young woman forced to take her sick husband´s place in a smuggling ring in order to survive. Traveling by night and on foot in the dead of winter to cross the border from Italy to France, Alina fights off the cold, exhaustion and Marco, a smuggler who is determined to destroy anyone who gets in the way of his having her all for himself!
